SEGWAY NINEBOT MAX G30LE II ELECTRIC SCOOTER – PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Segway Ninebot Max G30LE II electric scooter (or the Ninebot G30LP II for the US market) is a smaller and more affordable version of the very popular Ninebot Max G30 electric scooter. Compared to the larger model, the G30LE II is shorter and has a battery that is one-third smaller (10.2Ah vs. 15.3Ah). As a result, this scooter is significantly more compact than its bigger brother, making it even easier to fit into a car’s trunk. Since the Segway Ninebot Max G30LE II is shorter than the Max G30, it also has a lower handlebar. This means the scooter is very well suited for shorter riders, while taller individuals (180cm+) might prefer the Max G30 or Max G30E II models. In addition to the dimensions, there is also a difference in color options. While the Segway Max G30 and Max G30E II are available only in black, the G30LE II model is available exclusively in white.
SEGWAY NINEBOT MAX G30LE II ELECTRIC SCOOTER – TECHNICAL DECRIPTION
The NB Max G30LE II electric scooter, like high-end bicycles, is equipped with tubeless air tires. The tire size is 60/70-6.5, which is equivalent to 10 inches. Tubeless tires are much more durable than tires with inner tubes and provide much greater riding comfort and resistance to vibrations and shocks compared to solid rubber tires. In addition, Segway Ninebot’s original tubeless tires are coated on the inside with an elastic puncture-resistant layer that can prevent the tire from deflating even in case of a puncture. The tires have a very strong sidewall. Experience in Tõuksimaailm’s repair practice has shown that these puncture-resistant tubeless tires can generally be successfully inflated and reused after prolonged riding with too low tire pressure (although this is not recommended).
The Segway Ninebot Max G30LE II electric scooter is equipped with a front drum brake, which has the advantage over all other possible solutions of being extremely low maintenance and reliable. Additionally, the drum brake is combined with an electric motor brake to ensure that the scooter stops quickly and safely. A front 2W LED light and a rear light (including brake light) make the scooter rider visible to other light traffic participants.
The Max G30LE II is a foldable electric scooter. It can be folded at the front wheel using an adjustable lever mechanism. Once folded, the electric scooter can be stored in a car trunk, a closet, or an electric scooter bag. The G30LE II electric scooter weighs 17.5kg, making it easily portable and manageable on stairs. It has a water resistance rating of IPX5 (for the body) and IPX7 (for the motor), and the manufacturer’s specified maximum load is 100kg. However, long-term practice with the older Max G30 has shown that in reality, riders weighing up to 130kg can feel very comfortable—the Ninebot Max electric scooter’s frame does not give in easily.
UUS MAX ELECTRIC SCOOTER – RANGE AND PERFORMANCE
The Ninebot Max G30LE II electric scooter by Segway is capable of traveling up to 40 km on a full battery under optimal conditions. However, the actual range can vary significantly depending on several factors such as the rider’s weight, height (affecting wind resistance), riding style, and weather conditions like headwind and rain. For a rider weighing 90 kg, navigating through city conditions (stop-and-go traffic), the real-world range is approximately 25 km per charge. The scooter is powered by a large 36V/10200mAh (367Wh) lithium battery and rear-wheel drive, ensuring strong performance even on slopes up to 20 degrees. It can reach the maximum speed of 25 km/h as stipulated by Estonian traffic laws.
The charging port of the electric scooter (both standard and fast charger ports) is protected by a rubber-sealed cover, which must always be securely fixed during rides. A colorful LCD display mounted in the center of the handlebar stem facing the rider shows speed, battery charge level, and the currently activated driving mode or gear. The NB Max G30LE II has three electronic gears, and for longer rides on straight paths, a cruise control feature can be activated. Electric scooters are fast and potentially dangerous vehicles, thus wearing a helmet is always recommended, and it is legally mandatory for riders under 16 years of age.
