The VSETT 9+ and Vsett 9+R electric scooters represent the cutting edge of technology and are a simplified, smaller, and lighter version of their bigger brother, the VSETT 10+ electric scooter. Compared to the previous generation, the next-generation Vsett 9+ electric scooter is superior in every aspect: it’s higher quality, more durable, more capable, faster, and more user-friendly. The goal of this mid-tier performance electric scooter in the Vsett series is to be the best in terms of quality, compactness, and performance ratio on the market. This scooter achieves its goal completely, being the fastest electric scooter in the world with 8.5″ wheels.
The Vsett 9+ electric scooter is like a “pocket rocket” that fits even in the trunk of small cars or under a train seat but can reach speeds up to 25 km/h when needed. Vsett has also sought IP54 waterproof certification for all models, which is essential in Estonia’s climate. The electric scooter’s battery capacity is 15.6Ah. The scooter has two motors with a nominal power of 500W each, giving it a total power of 1000W (or 1kW) and a speed of up to 25 km/h. The range is up to 100 km for a 70 kg rider riding in the most economical Eco mode.
VSETT 9+ ELECTRIC SCOOTER – THE RESULT OF LONG DEVELOPMENT WORK
Ningbo Vsett Intelligent Technology, founded in 2018, is a technology company whose aim was to develop and produce a series of electric scooters that are uncompromisingly superior in every aspect to all that preceded them. The Vsett 9+ is positioned in the middle of the series, between the Vsett 10+ and the single-motor Vsett 9. During its development, several technical solutions have been patented, such as a revolutionary folding mechanism that is easily adjustable and eliminates the slack and snapping due to material fatigue found in previous generations of electric scooters. The Vsett 9+R electric scooter is revolutionary in the scooter world not only for its class-leading performance and folding clamp solution but also for many other innovations.
The updated QS-S4 screen, based on OLED technology, is more user-friendly than all previous versions. The screen displays information about speed, driving mode, battery charge level, and mileage. It also allows for the configuration of cruise control and the intensity of electric braking (motor braking). Theft protection has also been elevated – the electric scooter can be “started” with a wireless NFC card. Additionally, a copy of this NFC code can be saved into your smartwatch or smartphone, eliminating the need to carry the card altogether.
ADJUSTABLE SUSPENSION
The Vsett 9+ and Vsett 9+R electric scooters are equipped with front and rear SpringR technology-based hybrid adjustable hydraulic spring shocks. This technology combines the best features of spring and hydraulic dampers, allowing the suspension to be adjusted from very soft and bouncy to very stiff and stable, or anywhere in between. The frame of the electric scooter is made of aerospace-grade aluminum. The charging ports are (similar to the Inokim OX models) placed on the front of the scooter’s deck, rather than on the side of the frame like most electric scooters. This placement helps ensure better waterproofing and reduces the possibility of damage to the charging ports during maneuvering.
The Vsett handlebar’s twist lock is also more robust and visually appealing compared to solutions previously seen in the scooter world, being attached to the frame at the front of the electric scooter. The strong construction ensures good stability and excellent control over the scooter at any speed. Powerful electric motors embedded within the 8.5″ wheels provide strong acceleration, and the scooter quickly reaches the manufacturer’s speed of 25 km/h, even while carrying heavier loads or climbing inclines of up to 45 degrees! The maximum rider weight allowed by the manufacturer is 120kg. The high motor power also means that the electric scooter will not struggle to maintain speed on challenging terrains, steep hillsides, or even in deep snow.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION
With a smooth riding style, at 25 km/h and a rider weighing 70 kg in ideal conditions, the Vsett 9+ can travel up to 100 km on a single charge, but as is typical with electric scooters, the actual travel distance for an average rider is more likely to be around 40-60 km. The Vsett 9+ features front and rear mechanical disc brakes with 120mm rotors branded by Vsett, which provide much more effective braking performance compared to drum brakes on other electric scooters. The Vsett 9+ electric scooter also features motor braking (electric brake), the intensity of which can be adjusted according to the rider’s preferences.
The electric scooter is equipped with a high-capacity battery, available in two sizes: 48V/15600mAh (748Wh) or 48V/21000mAh (1008Wh), made from high-quality LG lithium-ion (Li-Ion) modules. Using two chargers, the battery can be fully charged from 0-100% in just 4.5 hours. With one charger, this time doubles to 9 hours. For visibility in dark conditions and to make oneself more visible to other road users, the scooter is equipped with a front LED light mounted on the mudguard and rear LED lights. The scooter also features rear turn signals, which can be switched on and off via switches hidden in the handlebars.
The Vsett 9+ electric scooter is legally a street-legal light vehicle in Estonia with a manufacturer’s power of 1000W and a manufacturer’s speed of 25 km/h, as verified by the factory certificate provided below. Note! The certificate does not exempt from fines or police confiscation of the electric scooter in cases where the scooter has been modified by the user to develop higher power or top speed!
