The Inokim OXO is Inokim’s flagship and an exceptionally high-quality electric scooter. Equipped with disc brakes, a wide handlebar, and a comfortable deck, along with incredibly soft suspension, riding the OXO on a gravel road feels like floating on clouds. Its pervasive orange color adds spice to the tasteful design. The Inokim OXO electric scooter has two 500W motors that provide a speed of up to 25 km/h. The range is up to 110 km when riding in Eco mode. Inokim is known worldwide as an electric scooter manufacturer that is very focused on innovation and user-friendliness. As a result, unlike previous years’ models, the new Inokim OXO is also equipped with motor cable protectors that prevent the cables from breaking at the entry point to the motor in case of a fall.
Additionally, for increased water resistance, a seal has been installed between the motor covers, the folding mechanism is made of stronger material, and limiters have been installed at the ends of the locking clamp pin to prevent the locking rod from moving out of place due to vibration. Since the 2021 season, in addition to the standard 10×2.50 road tires, Tõuksimaailm also offers the Inokim OXO directly from the factory with 10×3.00 off-road tires and wide 10×3.00 road tires. The Inokim OXO electric scooter features a patented suspension by Inokim, designed for maximum comfort while also ensuring safety during rides. Unlike the shock absorbers from competing brands, Inokim’s shocks are designed so that after landing there is no unpleasant “waving” effect—maintaining maximum control and safety.
The suspension has three different height settings that can be adjusted using the suspension spacers/bushings included with the electric scooter: low, high, and high+. In the low setting, the electric scooter is closer to the ground—keeping the center of gravity as low as possible for optimal handling and riding feel. The high or middle setting is practical for urban environments where you may need to ride up and down curbs occasionally. The highest setting, high+, is suitable for more challenging terrain and winter conditions. The suspension is also very functional for heavier riders weighing over 100 kg.
INOKIM OXO – TECHNICAL PARAMETERS
The Inokim OXO electric scooter features a durable frame made of aerospace-grade aluminum alloy, and it also has a wide handlebar with extremely comfortable grips, similar in shape to those found on mountain bikes. The Inokim OX’s brushless (BLDC) electric motors have a power of 0.5kW (500W). These high-efficiency electric motors ensure strong acceleration and quickly reach the manufacturer’s speed of 25 km/h, even while carrying heavier loads. When used off-road in non-paved conditions, the Inokim OXO is capable of achieving speeds up to 25 km/h. The maximum rider weight allowed by the manufacturer of the Inokim OXO is 120 kg. The high motor power also means that the electric scooter will not struggle to maintain speed on more challenging terrains, steep mountain slopes, or even in deep snow.
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
With a single charge, depending on the riding style and rider’s weight, the Inokim OXO electric scooter can travel up to 110 km in ideal conditions. The scooter features three electronic gears with varying top speeds and acceleration levels, which can be switched using the display screen mounted on the handlebar. There is a suitable gear for riding alongside pedestrians, for the most economical ride, and for the fastest ride. The screen also allows for the setting of cruise control. The throttle is attached right next to the display and is thumb-operated—allowing the rider to simultaneously keep two fingers on the handlebar, two fingers on the front brake lever, and press the throttle with the thumb—creating an ergonomic, safe, and intuitive riding position. The Inokim OXO is equipped with front and rear hydraulic disc brakes with 140mm rotors, which offer much better feel and more effective braking performance compared to the Inokim OX series scooters.
The scooter is equipped with a very high-capacity 60V/26000mAh (1560Wh) lithium-ion (Li-Ion) battery pack. Charging the battery from 0-100% with the charger included with the scooter takes about 13.5 hours. For visibility in dark conditions and to make oneself more visible to other road users, the electric scooter is equipped with both front and rear LED lights, which are mounted under the scooter’s frame. To turn the Inokim OXO electric scooter on or off, hold down the button located beneath the display for about half a second. When the scooter is turned on, depending on the ambient light level, the lights automatically switch on—they are controlled by a dusk sensor. The lights can also be manually turned off by holding down a button on the display. To switch between eco and sport modes or to change gears, press the + or – on the display accordingly.
