DUALTRON ACHILLEUS ELECTRIC SCOOTER – PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Dualtron Achilleus electric scooter is the little brother of the super scooter, Dualtron Thunder. The Dualtron Achilleus is stylish and equipped with a high-capacity battery, which, although smaller compared to its bigger brother, is still very substantial. The high supply voltage allows the motors to develop great power, giving the Achilleus electric scooter powerful acceleration and high top speed. With a 60V / 35Ah battery, the Dualtron Achilleus is one of the electric scooters with the largest battery capacity, and a 75kg rider can expect to cover up to 120km on a single charge in ECO mode at a consistent, slow speed. Only other Minimotors electric scooters with even larger batteries, such as the Dualtron Thunder, Dualtron X2, and Storm Limited, can offer more range.
The extremely powerful motors can deliver a total of 1000W of power, and it is possible to achieve speeds of up to 25km/h. Its eye-catching design is unmistakable in the street scene. The Achilleus electric scooter is available in two different color schemes – black and black/red. At night, the Achilleus stands out with synchronized RGB lights on the deck, wheel swings, and handlebar stem. The lights can be controlled with a user-friendly lights and driving mode switch module located on the handlebar, which is also very attractive and of strong build quality.
MINIMOTORS DUALTRON ACHILLEUS ELECTRIC SCOOTER – A MYTHICAL HERO
Minimotors is the oldest brand of electric scooters, having started developing lightweight electric mobility devices at the end of the last century. By 2015, they had become the creator of the first dual-drive electric scooter, named Dualtron, which has become a kind of synonym for “super scooter” for many. The Dualtron Achilleus electric scooter is equipped with front and rear 500W brushless DC (BLDC) motors. These motors allow the scooter to achieve a total power output of 1000W.
Particularly wide, 11-inch tubeless tires equipped with puncture-resistant technology make riding safer. Even in the event of a complete puncture, an elastic puncture-resistant layer glued to the inside of the tire seals the puncture hole, preventing air from escaping. Like all Minimotors Dualtron electric scooters, the Dualtron Achilleus is also equipped with a lower handlebar stem shock absorber to reduce vibration during riding and a foldable handlebar.
PERFORMANCE
The Dualtron Achilleus electric scooter can easily achieve the manufacturer’s speed of 25 km/h. It is also capable of carrying significant weight, with a manufacturer-set rider weight limit for the Achilleus of up to 120 kg. The electric scooter can climb slopes with up to a 40% gradient. The Dualtron Achilleus is equipped with large 160mm brake rotors and highly rated NUTT brand hydraulic disc brakes. All Minimotors Dualtron electric scooters are equipped with a patented ABS brake system, which prevents the motors from slipping (locking up) when using the magnetic brake.
The high-quality 35Ah / 2100Wh battery, made from LG 21700 battery modules, takes 18 hours to fully charge with the charger included in the scooter’s box. However, there’s no need to worry, as Minimotors has successfully addressed this issue; with a fast charger, charging time is reduced to just 7 hours.
Lighting, security and safety
The Dualtron Achilleus electric scooter is equipped with headlights mounted on the deck, which illuminate the road surface ahead of the scooter. For better road illumination, we recommend purchasing an additional light. In addition to front and rear lights, all new generation Dualtron electric scooters are also equipped with turn signals and hazard lights. Since the Dualtron Thunder 2 is more akin to a motorcycle than an electric scooter, it is advisable to use similar equipment as used for motorcycling when riding. It is essential to always wear a helmet, preferably a full-face helmet with a chin guard. It is also recommended to wear protective clothing against falls, such as pants and jackets with integrated armor (motorcycle gear).
