MINIMOTORS DUALTRON INTRODUCTION AND HISTORY
Founded in Busan, South Korea, back in 1999, Minimotors is the world’s oldest electric scooter brand/company. Minimotors started developing and marketing electric light scooter technologies and solutions at the end of the last century and the beginning of the current century. However, the first Dualtron electric scooter was still a long way off.
In the early days, Minimotors was more of a reseller and branding company than a development company. In the year 2000, Minimotors branded product became the best-selling snowmobile in Korea. In 2006, they became the exclusive distributor of the US brand Goped in Korea. Also in the same year, Minimotors launched the Silverwing, an electric mobility scooter designed mainly for seniors.
In 2009, Minimotors began to move beyond South Korea’s borders, opening an office in neighbouring China. There was also a change in the type of company, which was changed to a corporation. The company’s headquarters moved to the more prestigious Gyounggi-do province. In 2009, the first Minimotors branded electric four-wheel drive ATV was launched.
For the next 5 years Minimotors was mainly involved in the trade and import of electric motors, acquiring exclusive import rights for the following brands: Fukiplanning, Puma Moto, Fireball, Shark Helmet.
In 2014, Minimotors’ first electric scooter brand, Speedway, was launched and immediately sold successfully on the Korean market. Sales were much more successful than with the previous product types, and a factory was opened in Taizhou, China, which already had a larger production capacity. At the same time, Minimotors continued to introduce other brands of electric scooters in Korea. They became the exclusive importer in Korea for the Uberscoot, Kleefer and DTV Shredder brands.
The electric scooters revolution (2015 to present)
In 2015, Minimotors launched the revolutionary first Dualtron electric scooter. It was the first electric scooter with two-wheel drive and the ability to ride on non-asphalt surfaces. Interest in the Dualtron was worldwide, and Minimotors built an 18 branch service network to service the products. The first Minimotors export contracts for Dualtron resale were drawn up with companies in Australia and Singapore. In the same year, Minimotors also crossed the 10,000 mark in product sales.
The Dualtron II electric scooter, already well known in Europe, was also launched in 2016 as a further development of the first high-performance product. Minimotors did not rest on its laurels in terms of product development, however, but launched the innovative Dualtron Man electric vehicle. The world-renowned Speedway Mini 3 and Speedway 3 were also launched.
In 2017, Minimotors launched the successor to the Dualtron 2 electric scooter, the Dualtron Ultra, a superscooter with 11-inch wheels. In 2018, Minimotors launched one of the most legendary and successful electric scooters ever – the Dualtron Thunder electric scooter. In the same year, the most popular models also received new successors – the Dualtron III and Speedway V. The Dualtron III is one of the most successful and most successful scooters ever produced.
2019 saw the launch of the first 100km/h electric scooter, the Dualtron X, and a new Dualtron Compact in a class of its own. 2020 saw the launch of the now hugely popular Dualtron Mini and Eagle Pro electric scooters.

Dualtron X2 electricscooter
The Dualtron X2 is the world’s largest and heaviest electric scooter and Minimotors’ absolute flagship in the battery size and comfort categories. The X2 electric scooter is like a combination of a chopper-type zig-zag and an electric scooter, being slightly more compact than the former and more similar in appearance to the latter. The Minimotors Dualtron X2 is not the fastest electric scooter in the world, due to its gigantic dimensions and weight (66kg), but it is certainly the most comfortable electric scooter you can buy, due to its size and unique suspension, tyres and different riding positions.
The Dualtron X2 is the successor to the Dualtron X electric scooter, which was released at the end of 2019, and also to some extent the successor to the Dualtron Thunder 2 electric scooter. The X2 electric scooter is equipped with a seriously huge 72V/42Ah/3024Wh capacity battery pack made from LG battery modules. On a single charge, this giant battery allows you to cover up to 150km in a leisurely ride.
Technical description
The X2 electric scooter is also exceptionally eye-catching. Of course, the biggest part of it is simply the size of the machine. Equipped with 13-inch tubeless motorcycle tyres, the X2 also features controller-adjustable RGB LED lights mounted on the sides of the stand as well as on top of the upright boom.
Like all other Dualtron electric scooters, the X2 is equipped with the Minimotors EY3 (EYE) display with the best throttle response time. The display is readable even in summer sunny weather. For the best anti-theft protection, the scooter is also equipped with an optional “FingerPrint” fingerprint reader system right out of the box. This solution allows the owner of the X2 electric scooter to use his fingerprint to unlock the Dualtron X2.
One of the first things you’ll notice about the X2 electric scooter are the giant (mainly used on motorcycles) 260mm adjustable hydraulic shock absorbers. Unlike the standard 165mm shock absorbers used by competitors, the travel of these shock absorbers is almost twice as long. This ensures that the DT X2 electric scooter has absolutely unrivalled riding strength compared to other electric scooters and is therefore more in the category of motorcycles. According to the factory, the X2 electric scooter can carry weights of up to 150kg. However, if ridden carefully, the weight limit is much higher.
The Dualtron X2 is an electric scooter with two batteries. A separate and also separately rechargeable 12V battery is installed in the boom (lens tube) of the scooter. Dualtron Storm Limited electricscooter
The Dualtron Storm Limited (also known as Ltd) electric scooter is Dualtron’s flagship in terms of performance. The Storm Limited is also the world’s first electric scooter to use an 84V battery. The top speed makes the Storm Ltd electric scooter the world’s most powerful and fastest series-produced electric scooter.
The Storm Limited electric scooter is the successor to both the Dualtron Storm and the Dualtron Thunder 2 electric scooter, which came out just before the Storm Ltd model. Compared to the Storm version, it has lost the option of a quick-change battery. However, this is compensated for by a third larger battery, 84V/45Ah/3780Wh, which allows the Storm Ltd electric scooter to travel up to 220km on a single charge. Dualtron Thunder has also given the Storm Limited the option of a deck-mounted extra battery, which gives it the ability to increase the range even further on a single charge.

Technical description
The Dualtron Storm Limited is an electric scooter with both front and rear brushless electric motor. The new generation of Minimotors electric scooters have also received a number of ground-breaking innovations in their motors. The power cables of the Storm Limited motors are connected to the motors (stator) via an in/out plug on the shaft. This means that, if you need to repair something, you don’t have to dismantle your electric scooter to get to the motor cable. The motors are also equipped with a removable rim part with the tyre. It is now possible to buy off-road or on-road tyres on separate rims, and there is no longer any need to worry about replacing the spare tyres on the inner tubes.

Dualtron Thunder 2 electricscooter
The Dualtron Thunder 2 electric scooter is the direct successor to one of the original super scooters – the Dualtron Thunder. In today’s range, it is a step down from the Storm Ltd model, offering a more affordable alternative to the new speed king. Like the first new generation Ultra 2, the Thunder 2 electric scooter is equipped with a new 72V battery. The higher voltage, thanks to the lower power consumption in the electronics, allows the scooter to travel further on a single battery charge than the 60V batteries of the previous generation. The higher battery voltage also helps to develop more power in the motors, resulting in significantly better acceleration and top speed than previous generation Minimotors electric scooters.
The Thunder 2 electric scooter has one of the largest batteries in the world with 72V / 40Ah / 2880Wh, allowing up to 170km on a single charge. For better control of the high power, it is necessary to quickly press the throttle button on the display twice in a row.
Technical description
Like the new Storm and the Ultra 2, the Thunder electric scooter has undergone a major evolution. With its robust design elements, this electric scooter is clearly differentiated from other Minimotors. On dark evenings, the synchronised RGB lights on the deck, wheel spikes and handlebars catch the eye. User-friendliness has been taken to a new level with the light and drive mode switch module on the left-hand side of the handlebars, which is also very good looking and of very high build quality.
Security has been taken to a new level. This is ensured while driving by extra-wide 11-inch rubber-free tyres equipped with puncture-resistant technology. Even in the event of a full puncture, an elastic puncture-resistant layer glued to the inside of the tyre seals the puncture and prevents air from escaping. Thunder 2 brakes have 160mm brake rotors and NUTT brand hydraulic disc brakes for the best possible brake feel. The Thunder 2 electric scooter has a maximum rider weight of 120kg as specified by the manufacturer.
The Dualtron Thunder 2 electric scooter is perfect for people who want the best electric scooter in the world in terms of performance, but don’t think the Storm Limited electric scooter justifies the price.
Dualtron Storm electricscooter
The Dualtron Storm is the new generation of Minimotors electric scooters. In addition, it is also the world’s largest electric scooter with a quickly removable battery. This removable battery pack has a capacity of 72V/31.5Ah/2268Wh and allows you to travel up to 130km on a single charge. The battery weighs 14kg and fits very well in a backpack, for example. Like all the other Dualtrons, the Storm electric scooter is equipped with the Minimotors EY3 display controller with the best throttle feel and response. The text on the display is legible even in sunny conditions thanks to the green backlight and black lettering. The Storm electric scooter has a rubber-bushing suspension with amortic suspension. There is a choice of 5 bushing “cassettes” with different stiffnesses. Slightly inferior to spring rims in terms of comfort, this type of suspension contributes above all to the stability and handling of the electric scooter at high speeds.
The Dualtron Storm electric scooter is particularly well suited to the person who benefits from the removable battery feature associated with an electric scooter. As the electric scooter itself is difficult to transport, the removable battery allows the machine to be transported in two parts.
Ultra 2 electricscooter
The Dualtron Ultra 2 electric scooter is the successor to the successful Dualtron Ultra electric scooter. It is also a slightly cheaper alternative to the Storm electric scooter, without the battery removal feature. Compared to the old Ultra, the Ultra 2l has a higher battery voltage – 72V. This helps the electronics to travel further, develop more power, and thus provide better acceleration and top speed due to lower losses.
The Ultra 2 electric scooter, like the other new generation Minimotors electric scooters, has been given a super-scooter design with more powerful lines. The rear footrest resembles an antitip and houses Minimotors motor controllers with cooling fans. This provides much better cooling and freer air circulation for the controllers, leaves more room for the battery and allows the Ultra 2 frame to accommodate a large 35Ah / 2520Wh lithium battery.
The battery pack allows up to 140km on a single charge. The Ultra 2 electric scooter is also equipped with RGB LED lights, which are sure to attract a lot of attention when riding in the dark. The Ultra 2 electric scooter is equipped with large 160mm brake discs, hydraulic NUTT brakes and ABS safety system. The Thunder electric scooter is also equipped with rubber bush-cassette suspension and ABS hydraulic brakes. The Thunder’s large 60V/35Ah/2100Wh battery allows up to 120km on a single charge.
The Thunder electric scooter is built to be absolutely blisteringly fast, and it’s designed to be the most-straight electric scooter in all speed categories. Compared to the models that preceded the Thunder, it introduces the ability to adjust the height of the suspension. It’s now possible to adjust the rubber bumper-suspension pitch to 3 different positions. There is a high, medium or low setting. It is possible to mount in-suspension cassettes with different degrees of rigidity. The stiffness of the suspension depends also on the temperature and the weight of the rider. All Minimotors Dualtron electric scooters come in a box with medium stiffness cassettes and other stiffness cassettes are available as an option.
Minimotors has also made maintenance and repair as easy as possible. The construction of the wheels/motors is such that the rim of the electric scooter with the tyre is removable. This makes it much easier to change the large, 4-inch wide tyres. The maximum load capacity of the Dualtron Thunder electric scooter is 120kg, as specified by the manufacturer.

Dualtron Victor electricscooter
The Dualtron Victor electric scooter is the fastest electric scooter in the range with 10 inch wheels. It’s also one of the fastest 10-inch tyre “middleweight” electric scooters in the world, equipped with powerful electric motors. The Victor model is designed as a direct successor to the Dualtron Eagle Pro.
Victor has a 60V/30Ah/1800Wh battery with a larger capacity than its predecessors. The battery uses the new 21700 LG battery modules, which helps Victor achieve the world’s best energy to weight ratio (Wh/kg). This means that no other electric scooter in the same weight class can cover more distance on a single charge than the Dualtron Victor electric scooter. The Victor is also available in two different battery capacities – 24Ah and 30Ah. The 24Ah battery can cover up to 80km and the 30Ah battery up to 100km.
Another big improvement over the Eagle Pro electric scooter is the Victor Zoom hydraulic disc brakes. Compared to the mechanical disc brakes used on the previous generation, these brakes do not need to be constantly re-adjusted. The brake pads also wear much more evenly and need to be replaced less often. There is also a big difference in braking power and feel. Safety is further enhanced by electric ABS magnetic brakes, which are applied before the disc brakes when braking.
In addition to high power, the emphasis is also on comfort. The Victor is perfect for people who want the fastest electric scooter possible, but who occasionally (but not very often) have to carry it up the stairs or put it in the boot of their car. Compared to its 11 inch wheeled cousins, the Victor is much lighter and more compact.
Eagle Pro electricscooter
The Dualtron Eagle Pro is the direct successor to the first ever Dualtron models – the Dualtron 1, 1.5 and 2 electric scooters. In today’s Minimotors range, the Eagle Pro electric scooter is positioned in the middle of the range, sandwiched between the Spider and the Dualtron 3. Powerful brushless electric motors, combined with a 60V/22.4Ah/1344Wh capacity battery, enable it to tackle the biggest climbs. With a fully charged battery, you can travel up to 80km in economical driving mode.
Like all other Dualtrons (except the Mini), the Eagle Pro is equipped with a rubber bush-cassette type suspension for both the front and rear wheel. The Eagle Pro electric scooter is also equipped with a handlebar with folding handles. This makes it much easier to stow the Eagle Pro electric scooter in the trunk of your car or in a winter wardrobe.
In addition to power and speed, the Eagle Pro’s design also places a very high priority on safety. To this end, both the front and rear wheels are fitted with mechanical (cable) disc brakes. As with all the newer Dualtrons, the Eagle Pro features Minimotors’ patented ABS system to ensure that the brakes work as intended in all conditions. The Eagle Pro electric scooter, like its other relatives, also features Minimotors EY3 discs, the best throttle response known in the scooter world. The Eagle Pro is capable of safely handling loads of up to 120kg.
Dualtron Mini electricscooter
The Dualtron Mini electric scooter is the most distinctive-looking small electric scooter in the world. It is also the most economical way to buy a Dualtron brand product. As the Mini folds up right in front of the deck, making it very small in size, the Mini belongs to the class of “ultra-compact electric scooters”.
Minimotors DT Mini electric scooters come in two different battery capacities – 13Ah and 17,5Ah. Both batteries are made from high quality LG battery modules and have a nominal voltage of 52V. The 13Ah model has a range of up to 55km on a full battery, while the 17.5Ah version has a range of up to 40km.
The Dualtron Mini electric scooter with small but comfortable 8.5 inch pneumatic tyres is surprisingly comfortable, with the added bonus of a very efficient suspension system for both the front and rear wheels. Both wheels are equipped with two suspension shock absorbers to ensure the best riding comfort. Two spring mounts have been designed for both bikes to ensure the best possible riding comfort.
Safety is ensured by a drum brake mounted on the rear wheel hub, which is the most maintenance-free of all possible brake types and does not require constant readjustment compared to, for example, disc brakes.
In terms of looks, the Mini electric scooter is like something else compared to all the other models of the same size. The Dualtron Mini is stylish, with fast lines and the unique look is further enhanced by the RGB lights, which are adjustable with a controller.
Thanks to its excellent compactness, the Mini electric scooter is suitable for people who often need to transport their electric scooter either by hand or in the boot of their car.
Minimotors Speedway Leger electricscooter
Unlike all the other Minimotors electric scooters in the World of Lifting, this one is not Dualtron branded but Speedway branded. Speedway is the Minimotors brand, one step below Dualtron. The electric scooters in this series are compact, lightweight and more user-oriented.
Like the Dualtron Mini, the Speedway Leger belongs to the “ultra-compact electric scooter” class. However, thanks to its folding handles, the Speedway is actually even more compact. In some ways, the Speedway Leger also has a more conventional design, which doesn’t attract as much attention as the Mini with RGB lights.
The Speedway Leger electric scooter with 48V/15,6Ah/749Wh battery is available in Tõuksimaailm, which can cover up to 55km on a single charge. The Speedway Leger is also a full 3kg lighter than the Mini, weighing just 19kg. Safety is ensured by the rear drum brake, which is the most maintenance-free type of brake and does not require constant adjustment compared to disc brakes.
