DUALTRON ULTRA 2 ELECTRIC SCOOTER – PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Dualtron Ultra 2 electric scooter is the successor to the successful Dualtron Ultra. The main upgrade is found in the battery installed under the deck, which now has a higher output voltage of 72V. This higher battery voltage allows for longer rides with less loss in the electronics, greater power development, and consequently better acceleration and top speed. Like other new generation Minimotors electric scooters, the DT Ultra 2 has received a robust “super scooter” design. The rear foot support plate resembles an anti-wing and conceals the motor controllers, ensuring better cooling for the controllers, more space for the battery, and allowing for a massive 35Ah, 2520Wh Li-Ion battery to be fitted within the frame of the Dualtron Ultra 2. This battery pack allows for a ride of up to 140km on a single charge in ECO mode at slow speed. The actual range, considering the rider’s weight, speed, and wind resistance, varies between 80-120km.
The Dualtron Ultra 2 electric scooter is equipped with RGB LED lights, installed on both the sides of the deck and the handlebar post (vertical boom), adding even more spice to the machine’s extraordinary appearance. The DT Ultra 2 electric scooter is also equipped with two 500W peak power BLDC motors, giving the electric scooter a total power output of 1000W (or 1kW). This power, more akin to a motorcycle than an electric scooter, allows it to reach a speed of 25 km/h on private roads after modifications and tuning.
MINIMOTORS DUALTRON ULTRA 2 ELECTRIC SCOOTER – A TECHNICAL MASTERPIECE
The South Korean company Minimotors is the oldest electric scooter brand/company in the world. Minimotors began developing and marketing electric mobility technologies as early as 1999, and in 2015, they created the first electric scooter with dual motors – the Dualtron. The Minimotors Dualtron Ultra 2 electric scooter, like all other Dualtrons, is equipped with the best throttle response in the market, featuring the Minimotors EY3 display. The information displayed is legible even under bright summer sunlight. In addition to large and wide 11-inch tubeless (without inner tubes) air tires, comfort as well as safety and stability at high speeds are enhanced by rubber bushing cartridge-type suspensions installed on both the front and rear wheels. While this type of suspension may not provide the softest ride in the world, it does ensure the best riding sensation and predictable handling.
PERFORMANCE
The powerful 0.5 kW brushless electric motors hidden within the wheels of the Dualtron Ultra 2 electric scooter provide forceful acceleration and sharp torque, allowing it to reach the manufacturer’s speed of 25 km/h almost instantly. This performance is maintained even while carrying weights up to 150 kg or climbing slopes as steep as 35 degrees! Like other new generation Minimotors electric scooters, the Dualtron Ultra 2 is equipped with large 160 mm brake rotors and highly regarded NUTT brand hydraulic disc brakes, which are among the best-rated in the scooter world. These features ensure that the scooter not only accelerates quickly but also stops efficiently and safely under various riding conditions.
SAFETY
Dualtron electric scooters are equipped with Minimotors’ patented ABS safety system, which prevents the wheels from locking when using the magnetic brake. It takes 23 hours to fully charge the Ultra 2 electric scooter’s battery with the charger included in the box, but fortunately, this time can be reduced to just 5 hours using a fast charger. The Ultra 2 electric scooter is equipped with LED headlights, turn and hazard lights, and taillights. For further illumination of the road, we recommend installing additional lights on the handlebars.
The Dualtron Ultra 2 more closely resembles a motorcycle than a typical electric scooter, thus it’s advisable to use similar safety gear when riding. It’s essential to always wear a helmet, preferably a “full-face” helmet with a chin guard. It is also recommended to wear protective clothing against falls, such as pants and jackets with integrated protectors (motorcycle gear).
