SEGWAY NINEBOT MAX G30E II ELECTRIC SCOOTER - PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Segway Ninebot Max G30E II electric scooter is the successor to the legendary best-selling Segway electric scooter, the Ninebot Max G30. The main differences between the new Max electric scooter and its predecessor are visual. The rear board is longer and stronger, and has a number plate slot. In some EU Member States, such as Germany, the owner of an electric scooter is obliged to register the vehicle and fit a number plate to the electric scooter. Another visual and safety improvement is the addition of reflectors on the frame of the scooter.
The Segway Ninebot Max G30E II electric scooter is equipped with proper (E-MARK certified) reflectors mounted on the front, side handlebars and on the rear light. The third visual difference between the old and the new one becomes apparent when riding in the dark. The Segway Ninebot Max G30E II electric scooter is equipped with a more powerful 2.5W LED light than its predecessor, which has also received a new improved reflector. The reflector helps to reduce glare for oncoming pedestrians and other light cyclists and directs light more effectively onto the road. Another improvement (or setback?) is that the new Max electric scooter has different software to its predecessor. This means that it is no longer possible to easily increase the motor power and the acceleration of the scooter (to legal limits) through software tuning.
There is also a slight difference in the internal charger of the scooter, which now charges the battery at 3A. This means that the big 551Wh battery can be fully charged in just 6 hours. In addition, it is always possible to purchase an external 5A rapid charger, which plugs into the scooter alongside the regular charger plug. In all other respects, the new Segway Ninebot Max G30E II is just like the "good old Max" - immensely durable, weatherproof, maintenance-free, with excellent ride quality.
NEW NINEBOT MAX ELECTRIC SCOOTER - TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS.
Just like sport bikes, the Segway Ninebot Max G30E II electric scooter is equipped with tubeless pneumatic tyres. The tyre size is 60/70-6.5 or 10" inches. Tubeless tyres are much more durable than inner tube tyres, but provide a significantly more comfortable ride experience and vibration and shock resistance than tubular/inner tubes. In addition, Segway original tubeless tyres also have a soft puncture-resistant layer on the inside, which, even in the case of a full puncture, can stop air from escaping from the tyre carcass. The tyres are made with an exceptionally strong sidewall carcass. In practice in the workshop of Liftworld, these puncture-resistant tyres can, in most cases, still be inflated and used successfully even after a long period of under-inflation.
The maintenance-free front drum brake and rear electric/motor brake (regen) ensure good braking performance and the electric scooter stops quickly and safely. Brake and front LED lights make the scooter rider visible to other road users even at low light. The Segway Ninebot Max G30E II features a sleek design in black with complimentary yellow lines on the tires and frame. The new Max G30E II is a foldable electric scooter. The electric scooter folds up from the front tire using an adjustable lever mechanism. This allows the scooter to fit in the boot of a car, in a wardrobe at home or in a scooter bag.
The scooter weighs 19.1kg and is easy to carry and transport up stairs. It is IPX5waterproof and can support a weight of up to 100kg, according to the manufacturer. However, longer experience with the older Max G30 has shown that in reality, riders weighing up to 130kg can also feel quite comfortable - the frame of this electric scooter does not give way so easily.
NEW MAX ELECTRIC SCOOTER - MILEAGE AND PERFORMANCE
According to the manufacturer, the Segway Ninebot Max G30E II electric scooter can travel up to 65km on a single charge. The mileage depends to a large extent on the rider's weight, height (wind resistance) and riding style, as well as the weather. The realistic distance an electric scooter can travel on a single charge in urban conditions (brake-gas, brake-gas...) is about 30km for a 90kg rider. The high capacity 36V/15300mAh (551Wh) Li-Ion battery and the rear wheel drive, thanks to a smart controller, ensure good progress even when riding uphill.
The electric scooter reaches the manufacturer's speed limit of 25km/h as specified in the Estonian traffic law. The charging socket of the electric scooter is covered by a rubber sealed cap, which must be firmly fixed at all times while riding. A beautifully coloured LCD display on the handlebars shows the speed and battery charge level, as well as the currently active riding mode. The electric scooter has three electronic gears/modes, while the cruise control helps on longer rides and straight runs. The scooter is a fast and potentially dangerous vehicle.
