Description
Xiaomi external tyre 8.5x2" 50/75-6.1. Suitable for installation in place of the 8.5x2" 8 1/2×2" external tyre on the Xiaomi Mi 1S, Xiaomi Mi Pro 2, Mi Electric Scooter 3, as well as the Gotrax GXL electric scooter. The 8.5x2" 50/75-6.1 external tyre differs from the standard Xiaomi external tyre in that the tyre's contact surface with the ground is covered with a non-slip layer. This ensures better grip when driving in the rain or on dusty roads. It also differs from a normal tyre in that it has a stiffer carcass (stronger, more resistant to shocks) and can be used as a tubeless tyre (without inner tube) if the rim is suitable. For example, the tyre is suitable for use as a tubeless tyre on the Blaupunkt ESC608 electric pushbike. The Xiaomi outer tyre usually needs to be replaced when the inner tyre is deflated due to insufficient pressure control when the inner tyre is punctured. Driving with an empty tyre will cause the friction force to wear through the tyre carcass and the same outer tyre will no longer be suitable for use as the inner tyre can easily rupture again. Also, Xiaomi's outer tyre will need to be replaced if the tread pattern is worn from driving. The rear tyre of the Xiaomi e-scooter should also be avoided when braking, as this type of use will wear out the tyre very quickly. Due to the small air volume in the inner tubes of the scooter, the scooter is particularly susceptible to puncture due to shocks, so we recommend checking the tyre pressure once every 2 weeks, or before each ride if the scooter is ridden less frequently. When inflating tyres, we strongly recommend the use of pressure gauge pumps to ensure the exact tyre pressure recommended by the electric scooter manufacturer. If your Xiaomi electric scooter needs a repair or a tyre replacement, our workshop specialised in electric scooters can help. We can also carry out on-call tyre replacements. In the event of a rear tyre breakage, Xiaomi can also get a whole rear wheel, which if replaced in one piece, will save you the tyre replacement work.
