XIAOMI PRO 2 ELECTRIC SCOOTER – PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Xiaomi Pro 2 electric scooter is the successor to one of the world’s most popular electric scooter models, the Xiaomi M365 Pro, which improves upon the already high-quality and durable predecessor’s last technical shortcomings. The new Xiaomi Mi Pro 2 electric scooter is comfortable, light, compact, capable, and durable, ideal for everyday use, whether commuting to work or school. The electric scooter is very similar in general format and size to the Xiaomi M365 Pro model. The biggest difference is that a support has now been installed on the often problematic rear mudguard, which was prone to vibrations and shocks during rides, solving this issue.
The new Xiaomi Pro 2 is designed with the latest European Union requirements in mind, hence a number plate holder required in some EU member states has also been added to the rear mudguard for registration purposes. Additionally, compared to its predecessor, the Xiaomi Mi Pro 2 electric scooter is equipped with real, effective reflectors instead of reflective stickers—on the covers of the front and rear wheels. Moreover, like Segway electric scooters, the Xiaomi Pro 2 can now also utilize regenerative braking (KERS) while freewheeling—without pressing the brake lever. The intensity of the automatic regenerative braking can be adjusted via the Xiaomi Mi app according to one’s needs.
Furthermore, the new Xiaomi electric scooter is equipped with an E-ABS system that prevents the motor from locking up and skidding when braking with the motor—especially useful in the Nordic countries, where electric scooters are used in autumn and winter, and the ground is covered with slippery leaves and ice.
All this and more fits into a compact, foldable light vehicle that weighs only 14.2 kg.
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
The Xiaomi Pro 2 electric scooter has a durable frame made from aluminum alloy and also features a compact handlebar with comfortable grips. A powerful 300W (peak power 600W) brushless DC electric motor ensures brisk acceleration and quickly reaches the manufacturer’s speed of 25 km/h, even while carrying heavier loads. Depending on riding style and rider weight, a single charge can cover approximately 35-45 km. The electric scooter also has three electronic gears plus a cruise control feature. There are suitable gears for riding alongside pedestrians, for the most economical riding, and for the fastest riding. The Xiaomi Mi Pro 2 is equipped with a rear mechanical disc brake with a 120mm diameter rotor, ensuring quick and safe stopping. The scooter is equipped with a 36V/12400mAh (446Wh) lithium-ion (Li-Ion) battery, which takes about 8-9 hours to fully charge from 0 to 100%.
Safety and security
For visibility in dark times and to make oneself more noticeable to fellow road users, the electric scooter is equipped with both front and rear LED lights, which are more effective compared to the previous generation. To turn the Xiaomi Pro 2 electric scooter on and off, press the button located under the display/screen briefly. Once the scooter is turned on, pressing the button once toggles the lights on and off, and pressing it quickly twice switches between the eco and sport modes. We always recommend wearing a helmet while riding the electric scooter. For riders under 16 years old, wearing a helmet is legally mandatory when riding a light vehicle like an electric scooter. The Xiaomi Pro series also includes a slightly shorter version with a smaller battery capacity, the Xiaomi Mi 1S.
